M&P 22 and Froglube
My M&P 22 likes high velocity ammo, but the only thing I have been able to find in my area is standard velocity ammo. I bought some Federal standard velocity and was getting at least one failure to feed per magazine. It would eject fine, but the slide wasn't going back far enough to pick up the next round. I had a couple of samples of froglube, so I tried it. I followed their instructions and cleaned and lubed the gun. Results: shot 12 mags through the gun with the same ammo and had one failure to feed on the last magazine. This stuff really seems to work well.
Anyone else have any experience with froglube?

Nope. Never used it. Probably never will. I use Pro 7. There are several threads about frog lube. Look below this thread and you will see similar threads. But I'll start making some popcorn to read some of the up coming answers.

I used it, Didn't like it. Maybe I did something wrong in the way I applied it. For me, after shooting 200 +/- I saw a sludge developing near the chamber. Seemed like the lube that soaked into the warm metal was leaching back out. Went back to Break Free CLP. I pay special attention to keeping the chamber clean with good results, less if any FTF. Other than that, it seems to make clean up easy and everything is very slick.

I find Frog Lube to be very nice. It makes cleaning much easier. However, be sure to wipe ALL the excess off. If you don't, it will make the M&P .22 worse. It's great at first, but will turn waxy after a week or so. So, if you haven't wiped all the excess off, take some time and do it.

I have used it on my M&P 22 and have absolutely no problems at all. Takes a little work initially using it but a breeze to clean afterwards. If you apply it correctly you will have no problems. Tons of videos out there on how to apply it.

Frog Lube works great for me on all my pistols. Here is a link I found this weekend that you might find interesting.

I have the opposite problem. I have a High Standard Supermatic Citation that requires "standard velocity ammo". I find it very difficult to find here in S. Florida. I luckily just found a box of 100, but everything around here is hi velocity. Seems many new small imported 22's requite the hi velocity to function. Glad your gun is working fine now. GARY
