Keep in mind, if you ever have an issue, S&W will waive all liability if you use freedom munition, as it's considered remanufactured ammo, even the "new" stuff.

Your comment about the reman-labled ammo is correct, I talked to Smith CS about that. I did not think to ask, and they did not mention, the new stuff. My range sells the new, but not the reman.
I'll ask a better question next time I talk to them.
Where did you see this?

Once again....
ALL firearms that "Are reported as severely damaged during firing" are metallurgical tested and inspected for construction issue's. If no failure is found in the construction or materials, than it IS the ammo. I am not sure stating "Customer Service is horrible" is valid because we won't give someone a free gun when they use reloads, double charged rounds, or non SAAMI spec ammunition. Freedom Munitions is a RELOAD company. You use reloads at your own risk, whether your own or purchased from a company.

The monarch seems to do fine just runs dirty. Monarch is just a distributor though. There is steel cased stuff that's made in Russia that has a by-metal jacket on the projectile. Even if it's mild steel I'm really Leary about throwing steel down my barrels. For a few bucks more they have some brass cased stuff from Serbia that has the normal jacket. I would go with that if you decided to run some.
