I purchased a new bodyguard 2.0 yesterday and took it to the range today.it shot low and to the left. My ammo was magtech, pmc and monarch. Over 100 rounds and no failures. My problem was the 10 and 12 round mags. Almost impossible to get 12 in the 12 round or 10 in the 10 round mags.

I was using the loader. Still won't allow that 10th or 12th round.

A lot of people say the same, they are tough to load. I have somewhat gorilla size hands and can fully load them without the Maglula, but it did make it easier. I'm up to just under 500 rounds through mine and neither mag seems as hard to load as they were when I got it.

They do get better. I'm up to around 200 rounds through mine and I CAN get 10 into the 12 round mag by hand, but those last two still require a loading tool. So I just use the tool all the time, and my thumbs appreciate it.

A fully loaded 12 round magazine takes two slaps to seat with a round in the chamber, but it will go in on the second slap.

I'm a "low left" guy too. Not sure what's up with that, but I'm sure it's me. When shot with my elbows rested on the bench, it shoots to the sights. When standing on my back legs, it's low left. Not as far as it was at first, but still low/left. I'm sure it's related to it being such a small gun. I don't do it with revolvers, or my EZ 30 SC.

Second range visit using the Uplula. I can load the mags to max easily now after about 200 rds.

I still cannot rack the slide more than 3/4" by hand. I can push it against a board all the way and work the spring as mentioned in the Ruger forum, but it doesn't seem to weaken the spring any, It's still too strong for my old hands to work it. I Emailed S&W and they said to go to Wolf Springs and they may have a weaker spring. Wolf said they do not have any springs for the bodyguard 2 cause it it too new a gun. I think I will heat up the main spring to weaken it a bit. I Emailed S&W and asked them to send me another spring in case I screw up the existing one with the heat. No reply yet. I have had a great many pistols both S&W, Ruger, Kel-Tec and others and this gun has the strongest spring of any of them. Anybody know of a weaker spring that I can use?

No idea where to find a lighter spring for the BG-2, but it sounds like you'd have been the perfect target buyer for one of the EZ line Smith and Wesson has. My wife had an EZ 380 a few years ago, and racking the slide could be done with two fingers. I actually thought it was broke the first time.

I just bought an EZ in 30 Super Carry myself a week or so ago. It's not as "EZ" as the 380 was, but it's a lot easier than say my Taurus G-3, 9mm and light years easier than a couple of Shields I've tried. Mags are easier to load too.

I'm an old geezer with arthritus myself, so I'm symphatic to the problem. Wish I could be more practical help.

I don't
1. Too new for aftermarket to have built up.
2. Dual springs on guide rod and coupler riveted together. I don't know if it could be taken apart and gotten back together with different springs.

A friend is wrassling with the same sort of thing on a Gen 5 Glock. If it doesn't "break in" we will help her convert it to a single spring with an assortment of load ratings.

I got this to rack the slide. Get the green one, it fits perfectly.

I just bought a new Bodyguard 2.0 a couple of days ago.
Not new to guns but decided to trade off a couple and the Bodyguard was what I traded for. I have at least 20 pistols of various kinds so even though the slide was stiff to rack and the thumb safety was really stiff I thought cleaning, lubing and working would help.
Biggest problem are my old fingers aren't as strong as they used to be. I have never had a safety so small and difficult to operate.
Was hoping a larger safety was available but I guess the pistol is too new for that to happen.
I do have a Handi-racker and used that to see if the effort to rack would lessen. Not so far with about 100 cycles on it.
Guess I'll just keep working on it. If anyone has any suggestions please advise.

The Hanid-Racker is a a welcome new item in my range bag and will be used as needed.
