First Range Trip with New Bodyguard 2.0

I too wonder about this. Have a S&W Performance Ctr Shield .45 and its a bear to get last rd. in. Can see with a single stack wanting to have advertised capacity. In competion with Glock 17 used Dawson mag extender and held 21 + 1. Seems folks want to squeeze more rounds in. Guess that's why Ruger LCP went from 6+1 to LCP Mas with 10+1?

They started using mag capacity as a marketing ploy when they started advertising unrealistic mag capacities. That certainly includes the BG2.0 Magazine capacity is much touted in ads and reviews but you will notice most reviewers just recite the script from Smith. Every time I've seen a review where they actually tried to fully load the mag, it didn't work. I consider the BG2.0 "12 round" mag to hold 10 rounds safely. That's ok with me. I just want them to be honest about it.
I bought my BG2.0 last week. One 12 round mag came with the gun and my friend also has 2 of the 12 rounders. Although they are all hard to get 12 rounds into, the Mag Lula gets the 12th round in with extra pressure. But, as hard as it was to get the mag into the gun with 12 rounds in it and one in the chamber, I decided to call Smith Cust. Service and inquire. Their CSR assured me that no matter how hard it is to insert a full 12 round magazine into the gun (or a full 10 rounder), it will not affect operation of the pistol in any way. After firing both of our guns with numerous full 12 round mags, no malfunctions were experienced. That's good enough for me to stop worrying about tight magazines.

Is it possible that early problems have been resolved in later production runs?

As mentioned in my previous post just tried some hollow points vs all fmj so far. Gold Dot & Fiocchi xtphp. 25 rds of the xtp ran flawless, 22 rds of GD had 3-4feed fail to feeds. Not an extensive test, these things aint cheap but a good indicator of that ammo to start. So fmj Fiocchi sucked but the hp was fine.... the regular F ammo has a strange crimp ring about half way up the case, the hp does not, is that my guns problem with it? Idk but it is an interesting fact. Was disappointed in the GD results but whatever. Also ran about another 100 rds of various fmj no issues. And want to mention haven't cleaned the BG2 after past few sessions , lubed yes, so it's pretty gunky and ran fine but this little gun gets hot! and still ran good. Pretty sure it's intended use is NOT extended range time lol. Overall with the correct ammo it's my new pocket buddy. My lcp2 eats all ammo but the BG feels better in my hand, recoil is softer and most importantly I shoot it better. Carry on.
