Hey, everyone! New to the forum and i just purchased the M&P 22 Compact and LOVE it so far! I had trouble finding a holster to fit the Compact that i liked and seen where others are trying to findd a nice holster so, I went to my local Academy and fitted it with the Blackhawk Serpa Sportster Holster that is for the M&P 9mm and .45. It fit perfectly and snuff BUT only fault is the magazine release would hit and get activated when you push the gun in little more than normal and the magazine with push out. So i tool my dremel tool and notched out right where the thumb button is for the magazine release. And now fits perfectly without even touching the passive retention screw. I will post a picture of the notching I did to make it fit. I know it says never to modify a holster if it doesn't fit but I couldn't find a Blackhawk specifically for the M&P 22C and I really like the feel and molded features of the Serpa Sportster. So if anyone else has been having trouble, I hope this helps and look forward to posting more and visiting the site more now. Thanks In Advance!
