Modifications for a M&P Shield 9mm
I am looking for some good modification ideas for my new shield I just bought about a month ago. If you know of any good modifications I should do and also any places that can add a thin red line to my gun to show support for my fallen brothers and sisters.

Welcome to the forum.
I would either add some night sights or a black rear- and a gold bead front sight. Other than that I'd invest in magazines, ammo and training. That's just my opinion.
About the red line I'd talk to a pinstripe artist.

This. These guns are good to go from the factory. Get a set of good night sights and run it. Maybe someone that is versed in duracote/cerakote can fix you up with the thin red line?

ajames51 is a member here and although his XDMAN store is mostly for the XD line, he has a Shield and does Custom paint jobs for them.
He also sells aftermarket sights and parts for the Shield.
If you buy night sights AND have your slide reworked, he'll install the sights for free.

Night/High Visibility Sights
Before I left the store I had them put a set of TruGlo sights on. They are two green on the rear and a green with a white circle on the front. It has about a 7 lb 0.5oz average trigger pull averaging five pulls. That's with only 50 rounds of ammo fired thus far. Still able to get a good group at 7 yards (one hole drill) and all head shots on a B-27 target supported at 25 yards. I have Trijicon sights on a Glock 17 with the Orange front that I actually prefer, but the store only had the TruGlo and they seem OK to start off with. Certainly better than the factory sights. In time I may go with a set of Trijicon. Not sure that I will get any other modifications. It handled Federal HST 147 grain defensive ammo with no misfires in the first 50. Can't ask much more than that. The rest is on me, not the weapon.

Welcome and congrats on the shield, I prefer Talon grip as a upgrade. Very solid grip.

+1 on the suggestion of the Apex DCAEK and the Talon grips.
These items are significant improvements in an already excellent pistol.
