Can anyone help with this gun in a 40 cal. I spent over a hour waiting to talk to someone at Smith & Wessons tec line. All I got was frustrated listening to someone reading from the flyer.

Here is my question since the gun comes from the Performance Center what does the gun come with. I was told it has the trigger and sear are redone, they told me the weight was somewhere around 4.5# to 5.5# give or take a 1.0#. He was not sure about the the barrel match grade or standard.

I know that the gun has a ported barrel and slide, extra textured grips, taller sights and it is optic ready.

Should I buy a regular C.O.R.E and redo the trigger and barrel??

I got mine because of the over travel stop and the ports in the slide. The ported is the only model with the over travel stop. I shoot Uspsa carry optics with a kkm barrel in it. Not sure there is much difference other wise. I did notice there is a slight difference in slide profile.

Megaclean so you are shooting unlimited? I was told this gun with the ported barrel puts you in unlimited? Is the KKM barrel ported?

If you put a non ported barrel in the ported slide, it's legal for Carry Optics (assuming all the other requirements are met). If you leave the ported barrel installed, you are shooting Open. The kkm is not ported. I only run the ported barrel once a year at a charity hybrid match that everything is scored minor.

And I shoot open in that match
