Is/Has anyone used the Galloway heavier recoil springs in their BG380? Did you notice any difference? Thanks...

Why would you just replace the recoil spring and not the entire trigger kit. Replacing the spring alone will give you a stronger trigger pull and for what reason would you want that? If you are having light strikes with the stock gun, then you have other issues. I installed the complete kit and after firing a couple of hundred rounds with no light strikes, I put the stock spring back in. Still have no light strikes with different ammo, a lighter pull and yes, I smoothed out and polished all areas in the bottom assembly as suggested by reading numerous posts from other BG owners.

I put a Galloway trigger kit in a Bodyguard. HUGE improvement. As they say the trigger pull on the Bodyguard is so long you pull the trigger on Friday and it fires on Monday.

I put heavier lb recoil springs in my lcp and it helps with reducing felt recoil and muzzle flip. However, it can make it harder to rack the slide.

A stronger recoil spring installed will cause the gun to be harder to rack and will help absorb recoil but poster was referring to the hammer spring. Just curious if any owners of stock BG 380's, without any mods, experienced light strikes.

Purchased my no laser BG .380 last Feb. and only one light strike in well over 700 rounds, and I believe that was the ammo. My gun has been 100% reliable w/everything and I haven't made any modifications beyond painting the front sight and using a Hogue rubber grip sleeve.

I didn't do anything to mine except submerge it in saltwater, shake it out and fire a magazine without a fault. Then I washed it with distilled water, blew it out and stripped it the next morning. It's still good.

How can stronger recoil springs result in a stronger trigger pull? I'm talking about RECOIL springs, not the hammer spring or the firing pin spring. These:

I have put hundreds of rounds through my stock Bodyguard 380 and have never once had the hammer drop and the pistol fail to fire.

I went with a heavier recoil spring in my LCP. Very satisfied with the reduced flip/snap. Yes it does make it a little more difficult to charge your firearm but the trade off is worth it in my opinion.
Note... Galloway is a middle man operation. They purchase their springs from Wolff, a long standing quality spring manufacturer, which is where I got my springs ... direct. I would rather deal with the manufacturer personally, and I usually receive much better service in return.
I don't care for Galloway's other products and gimmicks. Not impressed....

Wolff doesn't list recoil springs for the BG. I wonder if the LCP springs are the same size?
