Good day everyone,my name is Varminter and I have introduced myself as a new forum member on the introduction thread as it is only good manners for a newbie to do.
I am in need of assitance as I have recently purchased a Full Size M&P22 pistol.
The Full Size M&P22 pistol is manufactured by Carl Walther in Germany and is different from the M&P22 Compact pistol which is manufactured by Smith and Wesson in the USA.
The Walther P22 Pistol's thread adapter is identical and is made for the M&P full size pistol by Walther in Germany.
I want to fit a suppressor which I already have as it is already threaded for a supressor however I did not receive a supressor adapter with the gun and hence I decided to order it from the USA however all the gun dealers that I enquired from as well as some manuafcturers including Brownells,Amazon,Tactical Innovations,Gemtech,E-Bay and Smith and Wesson have all indicated that they do not ship the part outside the USA despite South Africa not having any suppressor limitations or laws as supressors can be purchased off the shelf in any gunshop or retailer in South Africa and is perfectly legal.
They have however advised me to have the part manufactured by a gunsmith locally which I am prepared to do in the event that I can not purchase it elsewhere however to do so I am in need of a schematic or drawing of sorts with the exact dimensions of the adapter together with the type and thread of male and female thread in order to have it manufactured here.
It is such a small metal adapter part retailing between $10 and $30 and is available in either 1/2-20 and 1/2-28 thread .
I would prefer the1/2-20 thread adapter however I would not mind the 1/2-28 either.
I will attach a photograph and would appreciate any assiatance in this regard as I really need to fit my supressor to my M&P22.
