Talon Grips for M&P 9mm Shield

I have the gritty Talons on my Shield 9, I like them.

I tried both rubber and grit. The grit works best for me it seems.
Having said that, I have a new Shield in 45. I dont care for the original grip at all. Too aggresive for me. I installed a the rubberized talons, and they are good, but not great. When my hand is sweaty, the gun slips a bit. I bought the granulate talons, and I think i may remove the rubber and put them on. I wish they were a bit less expensive though

I have the GRIT on my 9 MM, but would switch to RUBBERIZED if I were to carry it. Grit grabs your clothes. Just shot a Shield in 45 ACP today, WOW! a great shooter and recoil less that you'd expect from a small lightweight polymer pistol. I like the MORE AGGRESSIVE STIPPLING on the stock grip of the 45 Shield.

I cut my rubber Talon grips to the grip's contours.

That slide looks badass. Is that a factory thing or Duracoat or what? I love it.

As to Talon, reading favorable comments here plus a few youtube install vids on the newer style laser cut pattern, I ordered one for my own Shield 9 this evening. Actually would have ordered another for my M&P 45c too but their online configurator required which backstrap size I need. Since my 45c is 1-piece grip frame without interchangeable backstraps, I opted to pass on that and just ordered for the Shield 9...

Thanks! I had my .40 slide cerakoted burnt bronze. The color changes quite drastically depending on lighting. I wanted a different color from my nickel/boron 9mm slide.

I removed the rubber talons and went with the granulate ones. Hit the range this morning, and I am completely happy with them. Solved any slipping issue I had. Perfect for me. YMMV
