I'm toying with the idea of replacing the sights on my BG380 and want to see if I'm missing any brands or if anyone has experience with these:

Williams Fire Sight Fiber Optic
The Williams sights look nice but the soft aluminum front concerns me a bit. Have to be extra careful during installation and I'm not sure if the front can be damaged easily with use. The sights themselves look relatively snag free so that's a plus.

XS Sights DXT - Tritium Rear + Tritium Front Big Dot
XS Sights DXT - Tritium Rear + Tritium Front Standard Dot
XS Sights DXW - White Rear + Tritium Front Big Dot
XS Sights DXW - White Rear + Tritium Front Standard Dot
The XS sights seem to be pretty popular but I've seen mixed reviews on the front sight being very loose. Also, the front sight seems rather large and may snag. Can anyone comment on the snag factor? I've been using a Techna clip IWB without holster and the stock ramp sights are great for that.

TruGlo TRITIUM PRO Night Sights
The TruGlo's are listed as "new" on their website. I have scoured all over the place to find any real pictures of the sights installed on the BG380 or even an accurate picture of the sights themselves but have not had any luck. The pictures I've found seem generic. Anyone have any more information on these?

I did see one video where someone said they replaced their front sight with a standard Glock front sight but there was no mention of what type.

For now, I've just painted the front sight with some white nail polish but would like to hear your feedback on the above options and anything else I may be missing.

I put XS big dots on mine, love them from 7-10yds, quick to target 6" circle easily done. for longer shots it's tougher but I don't use this as my range gun

Do you find that the big dots snag at all? Was the front sight loose?

I'm not sure why sighs on a 380 self defense pistol is important to you since if you intend it to be one. Most any such incident is apt to be at garlic breath distance and using sights likely won't be an option.... But if you just want to hobby shoot then dolling up a personal pistol can be a lot of fun.
For 380 defense ammo you might look into Lehigh Defense offerings especially the ones with a brass bullet that resembles a Phillips head screw driver enjoys some outstanding reviews.
The one poster's suggestion just painting the front sight may be as good of an option as any. Some posters have used Testers paints for this with a coat of Testers white under the desired color.
Enjoy your pistol and welcome to shooting one of these little pistols.

I agree that most scenarios would probably be close and fast enough where sights may not play much into the equation. However I can also think of some where they could factor in and that to me is worth the expense and research for some better sights. I like the idea of a more prominent rear sight to help with drawing from IWB while using a clip attachment and night sights for low light. Plus there's the whole other part where better sights make target shooting more enjoyable and simply painting them is perfectly fine. I'll probably end up giving the TruGlo sights a try and will come back with updates once I give them a try.

A dab of white acrylic paint on the top of the front sight works nicely for me! Very easy to pick-up and get sights on target. The rear sight was painted also, only on the top rear. Makes it much easier to use at the range. As far as precision sight go; This is not a target pistol. It was made for SD!

+1. I thought about buying sights but figured the money would be better spent on ammo and buying another gun. I also painted the front sights white and i can pick up the sights better. I have the laser model so didnt think it would be worth it.

No my XS BIG dot doesn't snag and I carry with a Cooks trigger guard holster.

It was a toss up between the XS sights and TruGlo sights but I went ahead and ordered the TruGlo. I called TruGlo to see if they had any better pictures and was told they are new for 2017 and they didn't have any pictures available. I like the 3 dot setup better than the i/dot setup so hopefully they work out. I'll post pics once I get them installed. For anybody interested, gooutdoorgear.com has the TruGlo sights for $63.85 shipped.

Looking forward to seeing the Truglo sights mounted on your Bodyguard. I prefer 3-dot as well.

I ordered the TruGlo Tritium PRO S&W Bodyguard Tritium Night Sights and put them in last night. The install was very easy using a vise and 3/8" brass punch. The new sights went in snugly without having to remove any material or need for loctite to hold them in. The rear sight has a small set screw that I did use a bit of blue loctite on but I don't think it was necessary. I'm really happy with these especially for $63.85 shipped.
