Shield and FS M&P sights compatible?

I'm wanting to install night sights on my PC shield. I really like the Hiviz sights but would like something with tritium on a carry gun.


Anyway I was wondering if I ever got a FS M&p, would I be able to install the hiviz sights on it?

It depends on the manufacturer, truglo has the same sights for all M&P, trijicon has different sights for the shield, also the factory sights are different as well.

The dovetails are the same so they will fit. However many if not most full size M&P sights are wider than the Shield slide and while they may not stick out past the sides, they don't follow the contour of the slide.
The Shield sights will fit on the FS, but they may look a little narrow and may not cover any shiney spots where the finish is gone.
 
I'd been wondering that too. I have a set of 10-8 performance for a full size. I need to did them out and check.
 
It seem like some companies use the same and others have different sizes. Idk maybe I'll just try it out if I ever get a full size.
