M&P 1.0 9mm Compact
Any reason not to pick one of these up as apposed to a 2.0?
Do i read this correct, the 1.0 has a mag capacity of 12 and the 2.0 has a mag capacity of 15?
I appreciate any input as I'm not knowledgable on the compact guns

The new 2.0 compact is sized closer to the Glock 19 and does use 15rd mags. The 1.0 was smaller and used 12rd mags. It was made to be more concealable. They now have a 2.0 sub-compact that is pretty much the same size as the 1.0.
I have the 1.0 and really like it. You can use the 1.0 full sized 17rd mags with it, just get a mag adapter so it fits well. Or use the 12rd for a more concealable size. In any version, they are very nice pistols.

I picked up a Gen 1 9c (and 40c, 45c) last year, love them!! No reason NOT to get one IMO. Also picked up a 2.0 9mm just before this virus thing happened-4" model. Yep, like that one too! If you want a little more than just the Shield 9 (my carry for past several years) then a 9c or 2.0 Compact would fill the bill nicely. :-)

I have a 1.0 Compact. As Panther said, the 2.0 Subcompact is the equivalent.
You can easily upgrade the trigger if you feel necessary. I put a 2.0 trigger in my 1.0 Fullsize. I'm waiting on a 2.0 trigger bar to do the same in my Compact.

The 1.0 is more of a subcompact, where the 2.0 is a compact. To answer your question: NO, there is no reason to not snag a 1.0 9c if the price is right. They are excellent pistols.

My daily carry is an M&P 9c 1.0 since 3 years ago, I bought the M&P 9c 2.0 and it feels too big after carrying the 1.0, already sold the 2.0 and kept the 1.0
2.0 does not feel comfortable for pocket carry or appendix.

Aside from the trigger bar, what else needs to be done to put a 2.0 trigger in a 1.0?

I have had a 9c 1.0 for 4 1/2 years and it is a great pistol. Shoots great and easy to carry.

You need a 2.0 Sear housing, a 2.0 sear, and a 2.0 Sear Release, and a 2.0 trigger bar.
When they were in stock, I got a complete 2.0 sear housing assembly and a 2.0 trigger assembly. Was about $50, it dropped right in. Later I was able to get another sear housing but the trigger bar assembly is OOS. They'll go in my 9C.
Got them at midwestgunworks.com

The fifteen round magazines will fit in the 1.0 also. Just need a spacer to fill the gap between the bottom of the grip and bottom of the magazine. It is my prefered carry with the fifteen round magazine now.

I have a 1.0C and a 2.0C in 3.6". As noted, one is 12 round vs. 15, but a FS mag w/ spacer works for either. Personally, the 15 round mag and 3.6" makes a very comfortable combo. The 12 round mag is better for CCW, but also stubbier and harder for me to shoot w/o the pink extension.
A little polishing, and Apex when needed, gets either to a smooth/crisp trigger pull. The 1.0 still has the trigger bar loop, which allows some adjustment to where the sear breaks in the trigger pull. The 2.0 doesn't have that flexibility. Mine breaks at the very back after dropping the apex sear in, which suits me fine. Apex has a longer disconnect for their flat face trigger option, which has the sear breaking forward in the trigger stroke. Wish they would offer that disconnect separate as it can be modified to tailor the breaking point.
Both have been a bit tedious in finding a decent load that meets my accuracy expectations. Had to go with either a storm lake or Wilson aftermarket barrel drop in. Both have a 3.6" barrel so the same aftermarket barrel works for both. Still playing with the 2.0, which seems to shun my go to 115jHP reloads and prefers 124JHPs.
If your preference is the 12 round mag for CCW, I would seriously look at the FNS9C vs. the M&P 1.0C. I love my M&Ps, but for a compact or FS 9mm, would take the FNS hands down. Mine has ambi mag release, ambi safety, and came with 3 mags. Accuracy is very good right out of the box and didn't require any tinkering. I did have a trigger job done on each, which wasn't expensive and amounted to changing out a couple springs. The trigger pulls are simply equal to or better than an Apexed M&P.
