I see two versions of the 9mm Shield for sale. One isd called the Shield, the other the Shield 2.0.
Can anybody explain the differences between the two?
Thanks.

Slight updates to it, easier trigger pull.

Besides a trigger upgrade; there is a noticeable difference in grip texture, better or worse will depend on the user as it is more aggressive.

I like the improved grip texture on the 2.0 versions, some don't. If it is too rough on the side that faces your hip with an IWB holster, you can just dull that side with some sandpaper.
If you buy the 1.0 you can put a grip decal like the Talon on your frame.

The trigger on a 1.0 might still need an upgrade, this one is a PC version, so the trigger was nice. I did put the Talon grip decal on though.

I purchased a 1.0 early on and paid way too much for it. I never leave any of my guns alone so I put a Talon Grip on it and aftermarket sights. Recently I put an Apex Duty Carry Kit in it that is wonderful. You can get the 1.0 versions pretty cheap now and the 2.0 is a lot less than when I purchased mine. I think that even the 2.0 version benefits from the installation of the Apex Duty Carry Kit and upgraded sights. Mine has the safety which I do not use and now you can get it either way. If available at the time of purchase, I would not have gotten the safety.

FYI, there was an entire thread on the Shield 1.0 vs 2.0 that you might find informative.
The changes were a slight improvement in the trigger, serrations on the front of the slide and a more aggressive texture on the grip.
The 2.0 version is about $100 more than the 1.0.
The main issue discussed was a lot of people thought the 2.0 grip texture was to aggressive on the hands and for IWB carry without a shirt between the grip and your skin.
The trigger pull and smoothness was a 50/50 tossup. Some said it smoothed out after a lot of shooting, some had no problem with it as is and others just hated it (for around $99 you can get a trigger kit).
If you can handle both I defiantly would to check out trigger and grip.
Personally I owned the 1.0. It came with 3 mags & night sights.

Be SAFE and Shoot Often!
