I bought one early in the production of the M & P. I have not seen any issues or problems. Has anyone seen issues with this model?

Including my 4, we have about a dozen of them between us

My first one is 12 tears old. The other three are 6 years old

One of the newer ones is a compact wearing the Crimson Trace back-strap. I have an ankle rig for the M&P 357c.

I have slowed down in recent years. I only go through a few thousand rounds a year now. I used to shoot LOTS of 357SIG

Ours appear to be extremely well built and are holding up just fine

I have a 1.0 M&P 40c. After 13,400 .40 cal rounds through it, I converted it to a.357 SIG using a drop-in Storm Lake barrel. I've fired over 2,500 .357 SIG rounds since then with zero issues. I'm very happy with it, so much so that it has been my everyday carry for the past six years.

Well, I'm still trying to find the 357 SIG barrel for my M&P Compact (1.0)...

But I just (FINALLY!) received the long-awaited EFK Firedragon 357 SIG barrel for my FN FTX and I now get to see if I like that better than that in the M&P PC C.O.R.E., which I just love!

BTW, that barrel is a work of art! Just beautiful! Only have a hundred rounds through it, but it seems to be very accurate and was well worth the wait... Chamber seems to be very tight, as in an almost "match" configuration?

357 SIG is just an excellent caliber to shoot & reload, IMHO.

Cheers!

I can't speak for the .357 Sig version, but I've never had a problem with any M&P I've owned.

I've owned a 1.0 full-size for several years. I bought it new and haven't shot it a lot but have had zero issues. It’s accurate and has had zero function issues. Shoots just a tad right for me with Remington 125 gr FMJ-FN, but could be easily corrected by drifting the front sight. (About 1.5” at 25-yards.) I’ve not heard of problems - other than the cost of ammunition. My gun has been fine. :)

No problems with mine, although it rarely gets shot. I like the caliber, other than ammo being expensive. I bought mine when CDNN was selling them for $399. It was my understanding when S&W decided to quit offering the caliber, CDNN bought up their inventory, and offered them for that low price. Usually, when I shoot mine, I use a Storm Lake 9mm barrel and magazine for less expensive shooting. I can see the appeal of a 40 compact being converted to .357 SIG. i have always thought the bottleneck design aided in feeding. Mine has never had a single hiccup.

I have two and no problems. 100% reliable and I shoot them well. I actually shoot my 357 sig and 40's a bit better than the 9's I have...with maybe the exception of the FDE 5" with the Apex flat trigger kit.

Not wanting to disparage the caliber but didn't the NC Highway Patrol get rid of theirs because of unreliability and frequency of repair issues?

Thanks all. No problems reported here. I think there was something else happening in NC. I hope what goes on in NC stays in NC.

I have a full size M&P .40 1.0 with a S&W factory .357Sig barrel, a Compact .40 1.0 with a Storm Lake barrel, and a Compact .40 2.0 also with a Storm Lake barrel. Never had a problem with any of them and they get shot a bunch. My favorite is the 2.0 with a 4" barrel. The Storm Lake barrel came as a 4 and a quarter incher but my Smithy cut it down and crowned it. I am pretty consistent with it at 100 yrds on an IPSC target. Shoots straight and level.
