Default M&P 2.0 45 FDE **Shot it, bought it, love it lol, post 3 for info**

Made the mistake of going in to one of my preferred shops at the end of the day today. Nice selection of semis in the used case. Came across a full size M&P 2.0 FDE with the factory TruGlo sights, all backstraps, box etc., 2 10rd mags. Really nice shape.

I can get it for under $500 before tax/fees. To be honest while I do love my Shield Plus (for the M&P line) and recently acquired 4567-when it comes to the .45acp I've got 54 years of trigger time with the 1911 and it's my absolute favorite pistol in that caliber.

I'm trying to decide what I'd do with this M&P (besides the obvious "shoot it" lol). Too big to carry until winter time with a heavy jacket, I don't leave guns in my truck when I'm not in it but it'd fit nice in the center console haha.

Who has one and what do you think of it?

No reason for me to even look at full size m&p 2.0 45 over a lw 4 or 4.25 " 1911 thats only weighs a couple ounce more but it thinner and more tunable to your hand even with 4 back straps with the m&p and then there's that trigger pull that adds to the cost . Even the 2.0 needs some help so get the thumb safety model so you can at least get the trigger real close to a 1911 for pull weight and reset . WE have 3 old m&ps and a compact 2.0 optic ready with thumb safety's that will be this old dogs carry pistol one day . I wear a MTAC at 3:00 and a button down square bottom shirt conceals them fine even when it fits well , that would be my m&p 40 4.25 or lw commander in 45 . T shirt CC needs to be a kimber ultra thin grips thats my wifes carry or the 2.0 compact still in that same mtac .

Went back today and looked at it again. The store/range lets you shoot a used gun prior to purchase. All I had to do was run 10 rounds through this gun and knew I'd try to make a deal LOL.

Ended up out the door for under $500, plus I had just sold an extra Browning Buckmark I had for $275 so the outlay wasn't much. What a fun blaster. After it was mine I ran 50 rounds of Blazer brass 185 jhp through it-only rounds I had in my bag. Not sure what I'll do with it except enjoy the heck out of it at the range. I'm very happy with another blaster in my favorite caliber.

Love the sights

First shots at 10 yards, the taped over holes are from the Shield Plus

Now the search for a holster begins LOL

I'd buy one of those myself, if I ever run across one! Good score-enjoy :-)

Mine is the plain ol black

For whatever reason, I actually shoot it better than my compact 9 Then again, I'm a pretty big guy with big hands too.

I have 1500 rounds through it without a single solitary malfunction of any kind that was the gun's fault. I had one ftfire from a bad primer.

Concealment express makes good affordable kydex holsters in a variety of options for the M&P 45 2.0

Thanks to the good folks @ Blade Tech I have a holster and double mag carrier on the way. I think I’m good now since I also picked up another mag-total of 3.

And heeeeere they are, plastic gun deserves plastic holster/mag carrier LOL. And since the mags ride on my left side they are oriented correctly, ammo faces to the front.
