M&P 2.0 Subcompact vs. Shield Plus: Thoughts?

I was wondering if anyone owns both and how the two compare to one another. I'm considering buying a 2.0 Subcompact in 9mm for the slightly larger size and longer barrel/better ballistics, but can't find any for sale in LGS's near me.
 
Just a suggestion. You might get more useful replies if people knew what you planned to do with the gun. Concealed carry, open carry, home defense, range shooting, etc.
 
I own an M&P9SC and a Shield 2.0 weight difference 5oz.

I’m not interested in the Plus because the SC is much more versatile mag wise, I found good deals on Compact 1.0 mags and used FS to extend grip length.

I would pick a Shield Plus with a 4” barrel over the thicker M&P subcompact. I like the fiber optic front sight and the trigger of the Plus much better. With the MagGuts +2 kits coming out, the Shield Plus starts to step onto Glock 19 turf.
 
Shield Plus if carry is an intention. 5oz at the end of the work week makes a difference.

Subcompact. I have a 1.0 Compact, same thing, and carry with a weapon light, which you can not do with a Shield, and carry a full size mag with a sleeve for a reload, again something you can not do with a Shield.
 
Thanks for the opinions, everyone. I ended up special ordering a Subcompact and don't regret the purchase. I shot it even better than the Shield Plus, with no hiccups from the 12 round magazine.

Do not expect a gun shop to have all your choices in stock you may want now so find one that discounts firearms or oder on line from a quality shop and pay the local ffl fee and let them order what you want ! I have a general store 3/10ths of a mile away that discounts every firearm and will find what you want if available at all or get on a list for one and always well less than retail . I bought a s&w sku: 13144 about 6 weeks ago in stock for 540 bucks . I would order a 2.0 sub compact every time over the shield plus . really is easy to carry , shooters betters and runs on compact and full size mags too . If the trigger pull needs improvement for you Buy a apex striker block kit and some stoning and polishing to he tip of the connector you can find on you tube will cover your needs and lighten the pull weight some. The slightly wider sub compact feels good in the hand too .
 
I have a S&W M&P compact with 3.6” barrel and a Shield Plus. Both are nice, both have their pluses and cons, but for concealed carry the Shield Plus is easier to hide. It is a lot thinner and bulkier; the M&P compact is the same size of a Glock 26
