Default M&P 2.0 Pro series vs 2.0 Standard (Basic)

My first post here, so be kind.

I'm trying to work out if the 9mm M&P 2.0 pro series has a different barrel than the Basic 2.0 Version.?

The specs indicate the pro is is 3oz heavier, this may just be the different sights.

Given it is for competition use, is the 2.0 Pro worth the money?

thanks.

From what i know is, all the barrels (besides length) are the same accept for the performance center models which are ported along with the ported slide. Other than that the pro series is one step above the basic model having fiber optic sights.

I use the 5" Pro series M&P 9mm for IDPA/SSP, for which it is a perfect fit to the division. The ported models are prohibited in IDPA, and put you in Open in USPSA.
The pro barrels are the same weight as the same length barrel in the standard model, but mine came with a nicely polished ramp. My trigger settled down at 4 1/4#, and the Pro has FO sights. I like Pro models a lot.
(If you plan to put in an APEX trigger and change sights, you might as well start with the basic model.)
As to the weight you quote, the 5" barrel model is 3 oz heavier than the 4 1/4" barrel model. (I have both) Is that what you are reading?
