Just bought an S&W M&P full sized in 45 ACP - $800.00, thank you California .... :(

CDNN has used 10 rounders for $9.99 each so I picked up a half dozen. Does anyone sell a mag extension that adds 2 to 4 rounds and doesn't cost $30.00 each? Pearce or Arrendo or .....?

I don't want to buy the metal higher priced stuff or ProMag. Just a few extra rounds, plastic is OK.

I've got the same gun and had a couple of mags with the +4 extension. My advice, skip the extensions and stick with the factory mags. The added weight and length of the extensions makes the mags awkward at best. You will never conceal carry the M&P .45 with an extended mag because it is like trying to hide a 2x4. S&W makes 14 round extended mags but I see you are in Commiefornia, so probably no bueno for you.

Stick with the factory 10 rounders and keep a second (or third) mag on you for just in case situations. Otherwise, enjoy that .45. I think it is an excellent shooter.

I grabbed a Mass. State PD M&P 45 never issued with 3 mags for $400 on Cyber Monday. Just need some stainless 10 rounders.

Sounds about right. I have a Para and 14 to 16 rounds of ACP does weigh the thing down. I have a place in OR so getting the +10 doesn't have the same thrill as keeping them in CA.

I wish I'd seen that then! I ordered mine yesterday, but for considerably more than that. Oh well, it's still a good deal. :-)

****, they went up. I picked up a Portland Maine department M&P 45 for $269.... barely fired, only 1.5 years old when I got it and 3 mags and night sights
 
Where, where, where are folks finding M&P 45s for such great prices? I'm looking but LGSs and the big auction site are asking way more. I'll do an interwebs seach, but if anyone knows a place...send it along. Thanks.

Not sure which price you're talking about, but I'm not seeing any real bargains out there either. There's sometimes a fluke out there ($269.00) but it's certainly not the norm.

I got my 3 mags from aim today.. they had the old black spring and follower, I upgraded them with the spares that S&W sent me a couple years back with the blue springs and upgraded followers and they're like new except for basic insertion wear. GREAT deal at $9.95
