S&W Shield vs S&W Shield Plus

Has anyone tried the barrel of the Shield 1.0 in the Shield Plus.
The 1.0 has a bulge at the muzzle where I do not feel any bulge on the Plus. My 1.0 has night sights and I am planning on removing them and install them on the Plus. Are there any problems doing any of the above?

All shield barrels of the same length, from 1.0 to plus are interchangeable.
 
It actually depends on how old the Shield is.
I have an early model and attempted to get an aftermarket barrel for it. The lug of the aftermarket barrel would not fit into my 1012 Shield. We tried 3 different barrels before giving up.
 
I was referring to factory barrels :) All of them of the same length and caliber will work in all the Shields.
