Anybody know where I can get a slide cover plate for my Optic-Ready Shield? Mine didn't come with one, and I don't always want to run an optic. S&W CS was no help.

Thanks.

Scott

I thought about that myself as I was looking at an optics cut M&P Shield slide & then thought of Springfield Armory's Hellcat for a cover BUT it would be Croatian & really not in the USA but maybe the guys from Illinois could get one for you

What kind of Shield do you have that is optics ready
Performance Center maybe?

That was a great thought about the Hellcat cover. Did it fit?

Yes, I have the 4" Performance Center CORE.

I really can't figure out why S&W can't offer you the right cover plate & screws.
And no, I only thought of using the Springfield Armory's plate as I have one in my stash along with one from a SIG, but it is different as it has sights as part of it...

Maybe it's the Universe's way of telling me to commit to an RDS.

Maybe someone will give you one or sell it cheap? Here is one that might work if not.

No surprise that S&W CS isn't helpful, they ALWAYS have started with "No" when I have talked to them. It's really too bad they do not value CS at all. Wish they were more like companies like Crimson Trace.
