Hello,
I purchased one of the new 4.6" 10MM M&P pistols early this year. I decided to take it to the range before picking up an Aimpoint Acro P2 just to get a feel for the recoil as this is my first 10MM. I was saddened to see that the pistol had multiple failure to feed issues. After reading online I purchased a Wolff guide rod made for the S&W M&P .45ACP, along with a 24lbs. recoil spring hoping that it might solve the issue. This did not. The failures continued. I was firing SIG FMJ 180 grain 1250fps ammunition. I also tried buying a new magazine, no luck there either.
I contacted S&W and they provided a shipping label. Upon return the included note read:
I think the failures have to do with how the cartridges feed from the magazine. To my eye they appear to be too vertical, which is causing them to get hung up on the chamber area. Does anyone have any ideas how I could fix this? I am really disappointed to say the least
