After researching " light primer strikes from Shield Plus after Apex trigger upgrade" I found many posts describing poor customer service from Apex Customer service. I called Apex and was told to adjust the "Trigger loop" gap near the end of the trigger bar. I tried everything I could possibly think of. I finally put a trigger bar in from one of my wife's Shields. It worked fine. I was finally making progress. So I called Apex tactical customer service with a progress report. What I reported was a difference (when installing the original Shield trigger bar from my wife's Shield and the trigger bar that I upgraded with the Apex trigger bar upgrade), the gap was different at the sear. I received EXCELLENT customer service from a gentleman by the name of "Doug". He told me to order a Shield Action Enhancement Trigger for a Shield m 2.0 SKU 100-170. Also a M and P sear SKU 100-074. I assembled my Shield Plus with the aforementioned parts and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I thought that I would post my findings. I have seen that many people post the the horror stories and not the entire story when they get excellent Customer Service. I will also say that Doug seemed to know more than the first person. So it pays to call a second time with your finding. Additionally, Doug told me to call back if I had any additional issues. Thanks again Doug at Apex Tactical.

Very similar great experience with Doug at Apex and light primer strikes. We communicated via email. This was three years ago. I adjusted the trigger loop gap, multiple time and finally that seemed to do the trick. Until today when I had a couple of light primer strikes.

I was using Winchester white box 124gr Nato which does seem to have a history of the occasional light strikes. So I am debating to just try different ammo this time (easiest step), or maybe check the tolerance on the trigger bar loop again? or I might even just take it to a gun smith and have them give it go over. I really like the gun. I had the slide milled for a red dot and it's very accurate, so it's a keeper, I just need to figure this out.

I also just bought a Shield plus OR I couldn't resist the deal.I took it out today and it's real nice. So far I like the trigger and will probably leave it alone. The mags are as stiff as all get out. Thank god for the uplula. I'm waiting on the optic, my eyes are terrible but everything was low. Pretty good consistent groups just all low. ...I'll just wait for the optic.

Glad to hear about the customer service. Did you install a flat trigger or curved? I want to do the same upgrade but to my 1.0 full size. How would you rate the difficulty of the job?
