I have owned an EZ in 9mm for a couple of years. I really enjoy shooting it even if it is a 9. But, when Smith announced the Equalizer, I thought that I might like the additional capacity. I got a chance to handle one a while ago and a few weeks ago I took the plunge. I made the first trip out to shoot it today. wanted to beat the nasty weather that is coming on Wednesday. Shot about 75 rounds of mixed heritage ammo. Steel, alum. and brass all slick as snot. I have found that if pistol will shoot steel and alum. it will shoot most anything.(I own a 1.0 in 45acp that will not shoot alum., makes for a really poor single shot.) the new piece fits in the same leather(DeSantis Mini Scabbard) and with the 10 or 13 round mags. is just as concealable as the EZ. I suspect the EZ may become trading stock. Anyway, I am happy with the new addition to the herd. Now to sell something else to bring the numbers down..

I did not need to read that. I have been trying to talk myself out of picking up one of the new Equalizers. Darn it, I have enough S&Ws. Oh well, one more can't hurt too much. Thanks for sharing your impressions.

I read and look at everything. I am an instructor and advise many on choices for purchase etc. I have read very good things about the Equalizer and think that it could be a good upgrade to the EZ Series. I have thought of it for my wife who currently has a 60-14 Lady Smith for simplicity and she doesn't even shoot it!!! She has short fingers and always feels that she can't reach the trigger on anything.

I picked one up shot about 200 rounds so far and to me it's a great pistol come with three mags a 10 and 13 and 15 also lula mag loader. I looked at the 9mm ez but ended up getting the equalizer.
