Recommendations for a S & W Competition

My LGS had a used Competition on their website for a couple of months and no one seemed interested. I picked it up this weekend. I cannot find any of the holster manufacturers I usually use having a holster that fits this gun. If I do decide to enter competitions, I would need a holster. Any suggestions on either a concealed carry, or competition style holster? Also looking for recommendations on a red dot sight. I would prefer something that fits directly to the slide without a plate if possible.
I shot 125 rounds through it this weekend. No hiccups. I'm pretty happy with the trigger and accuracy as well. LGS thinks the original owner put 200 rounds or less through it. I would agree, no wear on it at all. Price was $200 less than MSRP which local shops are charging for a new one.

Nice gun! Vedder and Alien Gear have holsters for the Pro Series 5 inch, so they may be a good option.

If you are looking for leather, then MTR Custom Leather would be my first place to look because they list the M&P 2.0 5 inch in the make and model listing.

I'd research the Leupold DeltaPoint Micro Red Dot. It is a fully enclosed, low-profile red dot sight. It was designed specifically for concealed carry and personal defense, which may be a positive or negative for you.

The site is mounted directly to the rear sight dovetail, and sits at the same height as factory iron sights and aligns the red dot with the front sight, giving you faster target acquisition and improved accuracy.

If you are looking for a fully custom holster check out Exarchy Holster Co. | Concealed Carry IWB and OWB Holsters they take some time to get to you but the quality is amazing. And also check out the holosun 507k or 407k

Look at the link below for a standard m&p 5" and your competitor and understand if a holster company has not tried the competitor in what they all ready make they will say Nope don't have one !! I know a competitor with fit a standard model 5" holster I have several hybrid leather back half iwb's that are made for a M&P 4.25 model and a standard 5" just to let a friend try out with his new competitor a month or so back just to verify there's really no difference holster wise !!

Dot optics - Your pistol has a green front fiber sight see how well it looks to you before just buying a " red " dot . Today there are a few Green battery powered dot optic sights .

I running an Holosun green circle dot - 32moa circle and 2moa dot . You may find out the circle alone works well for targets out to 25 yards as it only covers 8" at that distance but the 2moa runing with the circle or alone is real nice for longer shots . I have steels from 15 yards to 40 and keep a old m&p core and a maybe future CC a 4" compact with an older Holosun 407 GR X2 on them but the newer 508T GR X2 and they have a enclosed 509T model too that affords a lslight larger field of few . I have 33 years shooting and handgun hunting with red dot but changed to green 2 years ago.
