Default New Pistol for Sarah

So yesterday I bought this little .380 version of Smith and Wesson’s EZ pistols. She was at that shop Saturday and said “this is pretty! I want this!” So I know the EZs are easy to rack and load. They call this Rose Gold. Daddy has to shoot it first to check it out!

Beautiful pistol! I bought the performance center model with gold trigger and barrel for my granddaughter. I hope yours works better than mine. Last round stovepipe. New mag followers and springs from S&W customer service helped but didn’t eliminate the issue. Best of luck!

I believe she'll do fine after she gets used to the slide doing its thing after every shot...that won't take long. She will get slide bitten, too. She has a Model 642 lightweight that she can conceal until I feel she's got the pistol mechanics down pat. She's been shooting handguns & rifles for maybe 8 years when we/she gets the chance, which isn't often enough. She's 23 now so hopefully she'll get many range trips. I bought the next older girl an EZ380 a couple holidays back. The oldest girl has a 442 Airweight. Gotta take care of the girls! (They'll be jealous of the pretty Rose Gold that Baby Sarah got!)

Why will she get slide bitten? I know I'm not popular for this opinion, but it's on the user to keep their appendages out of the works. My opinion that really gets folks going is with regard to hammer bite. If you are getting hammer bite, you're either holding it too high or your hand doesn't fit the gun.

Glad you take care of the girls!
Glad they have J-Frames too.

UPDATE June 13th: Okay, yesterday I ran 42 rounds through her new gun. I was happy with it after I found the point of impact compared to point of aim to be about 6-8 inches low at 15 yards, Blazer 95 gr., FMJ round nose bullets. The ONE issue I had was one of the 2 magazines, with those ears that stick out for EZ loading. One of the followers wouldn't slide down past those 2 "protrusions" that secure the mag in the gun. I sanded the plastic lower sides of the followers and all was well. I shot free hand for 2 magazines' worth and actually hit paper. Then I used a rest to see where it hits, as mentioned above.
At home for its post game shower I was worried about a little oil smudge on the light-colored (rose-gold) plastic frame but I used those "Nu Calgon Scrubs In A Bucket" and it wiped right off. The only other 380s I've shot were the EZ I bought for middle daughter (no issues what so ever) and a
Glock 42, which I hated much. I feel like a loner, as I have no complaints about both EZs and their 442s and 642s. I think it's Natasha's 442 no-lock Airweight I would buy if I were to acquire one, but I have a M36 no dash that is a perfect fit in my front pocket. Plus, it's a cooler-looking gun! Just a no-complaint small sample of a review of the four small girl guns.
