Hello All,

First time poster and a S&W fan all my shooting life. I have a 5906, 3906, 642 Airweight, and a newly acquired PC Shield EZ 380 for the wife. I have various other brands of pistols... Ruger LCPII, Springfield XDS, some wheel guns, and Taurus Gx4 being my goto carry for its size and weight, plus I'm just really good with it and enjoy shooting it.

Since I'm getting older, I tried to replace the Taurus with a Springfield XDS 2.0 with red dot and I just do not like it. I thought I would when I bought it. My old eyes liked the optic, but the feel of it in my big hands when shooting is not what I thought it would be. My guess is it must be the single stack mags and the grip size. I just can't get a comfortable grip on it. So 150 or so rounds later, I'm looking at trading the Springfield in on an Equalizer.

After renting the PC Shield EZ 380 at my local range, I bought one for my wife. She really enjoys it. It is a very pleasant and controllable shooter for her, and anyone for that matter. Plus she can finally rack one of our pistols with ease. She used to carry the 642 with .38 short rounds because .38 Special was way too much for her and the weight of that pistol. The .38 short rounds are getting harder and harder to find and it doesn't make financial sense to reload my own. So I knew I would have to get her into a more common round.

So I'm looking at the Equalizer for myself, not only because I should have gone with S&W in the first place, but the EZ features if my wife ever had to use it in a pinch.

But before I go out and purchase one, is there a typical timeframe before S&W will start offering Performance Center models of their pistols? The Equalizer came out around November, 2022. I'm ready to buy now but if a PC version comes out in the next two months then I'd much rather have those as options.

Thanks for your time.
