Hello and thanks for reading this.

I want to purchase a few spare parts for my Shield Plus. I notice on Numrich's site, they have Shield and Shield 2.0 parts. Does the Shield Plus follow in either of those two categories. Also, is there another place to purchase spare parts?

My pistol has the thumb safety. It's not exactly easy to operate with the thumb. Are there replacements?

Thanks in Advance

I would check with the factory. They may have the items you need, and there will be no question about compatability.
They may need you to provide your serial number to verify fitment.

Thanks for this information, I will give them a call on Monday.

Unfortunately, S&W does not make wider thumb safeties for Shields and they confirmed that with me last week. And I could not find any major manufacturers that make them either. However, if you scroll down in this Forum to another Thread you'll find my info on a company that does make drop-in wider thumb safeties entitled "Wider Safety Levers?" (originally posted by HeavyDuty Ken).

There's a post in this section somewhere where the parts changeout intervals are noted by a former S&W trained armorer. You're basically looking at recoil spring, striker and slide stop assemblies and the locking and sear blocks. Wouldn't hurt to include mag catches.

I am also looking for spare parts. It seems like nobody knows of a source. I will also give S&W a call.

Thanks for this excellent help. I called and gave them my pistol's serial number. The only part that I could not order is the slide stop assembly. The S&W representative was not sure why. Maybe they are out of stock? Who knows.

On another note, I really like my Shield Plus and find it pretty easy to shoot well.
