Is the technology there, or will it be to make one small enough? Would it be useful being that small?
Would you mill your slide to fit one?

IMO, here's the most important issue to think about to consider if you believe so and say yes.
Is it practical given the S&W BG2's philosophy of use?

Why not a flashlight too? The BG2.0 was meant to be a SMALL gun. Let's not try to improve on that.
There are ways to improve the OEM sights, soon to be on the market. Be happy with that.

I’m pretty sure there are red dots that will fit. I think there is now an optics ready Bodyguard, but you would probably have to mill your slide.

I think its a great idea. With practice a red dot sight is very fast to use, and don’t make the gun harder to conceal.

The BG 2.0's slide is too narrow (0.75") for current footprint optics to be direct mounted without a purposely bulked up slide.

The current popular micro optic footprints are the RMSC, which is 23mm/0.905" wide, and Holosun K, which is 24mm/0.945" wide. Even if you knocked it down to 20mm for just the width of the posts, and it would still probably be slightly wider than the BG 2.0's slide.
