Bodyguard 2.0 buying guide

Man are you serious?
I got a 43C first to pair with the Bodyguard 2.0. Call it the 40 year old arthritis downgrade package.

The 43C slipped through the QC/QA in milling, finishing, and assembly. S&W agreed the SIX issues I noted were being addressed.

Now this?!
How hard is a plastic gun to make in 2025?

I am waiting for a two tone version. Hopefully the issues are dealt with by then. This is real basic QA. They need to pay their people better to retain talent and actually have QA / QC part of the company again.

I think that there are about 25 Bodyguard 2.0's that are bad.
It is just that they are all being reported on this forum.
If someone would go back and count how many reports there are of troubles, it would be appreciated.

agksimon posts that his/her sample is flawless. That is probably closer to the norm than getting a troubled on. Few people report good news.
ONE failure to fire out of the box "Handgun of the Year: Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0" by Guns & Ammo, on a firearm for conceal carry from a legendary manufacturer is TOO many.

I’m just curious….

Out of the box dated 073124 BG2, the front sight and the rear sight were adjusted to compensate for low left POI.

The front sight was clearly adjusted to the left and the rear sight is clearly adjusted to the right. My POA/POI was about 4” left and 2 inches low.

I adjusted the front sight with a hammer and punch by 0.010” to now only about 1” left and about 1” low from POA/POI. I am not yet able to move the rear sight with a hammer and punch.

Is the barrel NOT in alignment with the slide?

The front and rear sights on both my P365s are aligned perfectly in the center of the slide. and POA is POI.

I’ve had the recoil spring problem, the feed ramp problem, the issue trying to get 12 rounds in the mag problems and the sighting issue. I sent back to Sw and now my biggest problem is still feed issues depending on ammo . Im happy there are some without issue but it’s not me. Unfortunately I can’t rely on this gun and am looking for another micro alternative

Function-wise, I've had few problems with two BG2.0s. There have been a few failures to feed, early on.
Biggest issue; some 10 round mags actually hold 10, with enough room to seat the magazine against a closed slide. Others will only lock in with unreasonable force.
The low bore axis, good ergos, and controllable trigger makes the little buggers eminently shootable. Yeah, I'm a fan. It's hard to name another gun that small and shootable.
Yeah, tried the Ruger Max, great capacity, lousy ergos, trigger slap and pinch.

I know there are more than 25 bad ones. Mine has the goofy follower that sticks on the 3rd round. But, I also know many are flawless.

And me knowing this does not help anyone who gets a lemon.
That is why I would find a shopping list of problems to look for when buying a new one. At least those that may be identified at the gun store.
be looking for?
What else should a new buyer
My 12 rounder sticks on the 3rd round also is there a fix?

Mine shot 10” to the left. I adjusted both the front and rear sights as far as they could go and now it shoots to point of aim. Swapped slides with a friends BG2 and it shot to center with the sights as received from the factory-centered. I called S&W they said send it back
