Bought The Last Gun I'll Need, Again!
I've had my eye on this gun since I saw the S&W ad back in January. I had placed an order and it finally came in to a local gun store Friday. It's a Performance Center full-size polymer frame Carry Comp, SKU 14415. A Davidson Exclusive and came with 5 mags (3-17, 2-23), optic height sights and qualifies for the free optic rebate.
I was glad to see it came with the beveled PC striker block - the trigger is pretty smooth right out of the box. The large palmswell sticks out a bit at the top but otherwise looks like a pretty good build. Now, I've got to do some polishing and get it to the range.

I had no idea that this variant existed, and I would prefer it over the aluminum frame.

As you can tell, I did too. The extra mags and lower price is what sold me. It's a Davidson Exclusive and I didn't know how many would be made. S&W customer service couldn't tell me if the polymer frame full-size version would ever be available is a non-exclusive version. So I made the plunge. I have to admit, I have a gun buying problem.

It may not be as true as when S&W had a real custom shop and did very small runs for distributor/LE agency exclusives, but there's a reason they people say, 'never say never,' when it comes to S&W variations.
I'm interested in the new steel frame Spec Series V, but I find the aluminum frame to be superfluous at best. I didn't notice any overall recoil reduction when shot back to back with a polymer frame M&P, and the recoil felt sharper where I rest my left thumb on the frame ahead of the takedown lever.

One of the reviewers on YouTube shot the Metal Carry Comp back to back with the Compact Carry Comp and thought the polymer frame Compact had slightly less recoil - thought the polymer frame was absorbing some of recoil.

The one on the right was the last gun I needed in November. The one on the left is the last one I needed last Friday.

I too bought the last gun I'll ever need. I think that that was 50+ years ago.
However, all the guns purchased since then was because I still had room in my gun room. Still have room for a few "non needed" guns.

Mounted a CT RAD on the full-size Carry Comp. The RAD is made for full-size guns and is quite a bit larger than the RAD Micro. Pics show Shield+CC on right with RAD Micro. The RAD also has adjustable brightness, off-on switching, battery on top and didn't break the bank. It co-witnessed well with the optic height sights and a G-Sight laser cartridge. Need to get it to the range and dial it in with live ammo.
