I have a new Equalizer pistol. All is well except the mags will not accept the full capacity. It came with 10, 13, and 3, 15 round mags. I can only load 9,12,13,14,and 14 rounds in the mags. I am using a mag loader and I have left them loaded for a week with no change. Is this normal? Thanks!

Your Equalizer uses the same magazines as the Shield Plus 9mm line. They are known for being a little "stiff" when new but all should load to their max capacity with some patience. You didn't say what type of mag loader you were using - my Equalizer came with an Uplula (by maglula - the best in my opinion).

I have a lot of compatible mags and they all load to capacity using an Uplula. Just take your time loading and unloading them with the Uplula and you'll get there. The last round may take a little extra force at first.

Use your Uplula to load your mags as full as you can get them and go to the range. Shoot 3-4 rounds from each mag, reload and repeat. It is the movement of a spring that causes it to loosen up, not sitting compressed.

As a practical matter that doesn't really bother me, what with having five magazines I don't miss five shots. In my initial trial of the Equalizer I just used one box, loading each of the mags twice with only five rounds to see that everything was working.
