Sounds like you are the one that cannot take it. You make political comments that have nothing to do with Smith and Wesson not replacing your barrel. Someone flips that back at you and you double down.

Insults and curse words are usually used when we can't formulate a good argument.

I am sorry for your situation but if you use the same problem solving skills and charm you used here I don't see the situation getting resolved.

Good luck.
So I'm supposed to be the one who backs down to a troll who wants to try and sound intelligent? It's my post... why wouldt I say what was on my mind? I never said these things I'm saying are facts and everyone should agree with me or else. He made a snarky comment and then edited his post later, to add more snark and I replied in kind. Simple as that. I like discussions even if it's arguing. We don't argue enough anymore because everyone is so sensitive and in need of their safe spaces. Instead, people like you and the other guy get all passive aggressive thinking your smart and having the brilliant mic drop moment to end the "rap battle" and "win" the conversation or whatever it is in thatline of thinking, but no, you're not.

I only insult people who aren't intelligent enough to realize that I'm not insulting them. Or those that take every little bit of argumentative conversation as in insult. Which are basically the same thing.

So yes, thanks to a troll and a troll guardian I now remember why I stopped coming to this forum a long time ago, because its brimming with adults with the constitution of a 15 year old girl and every simple post I make ends up being a total ***** show (partly my fault because I like challenging passive aggressive turds )

So if the thought police moderators don't kick me off first, I just need to figure out how to unsubscribe from this forum and delete my log in.

I've gotten multiple time-outs in here on politics. That's all I'm going to say about that.

I agree with you 100%. But Smith isn't the only one doing that. Look up Bill Ruger not selling normal capacity mags for their Mini rifles & supporting the mag ban.

8 years here, have you ever read The Rules?

The Rules. Take note of 1,2,3 in particular.

Serious question. In Right to Repair states, how would Ruger or S&W deal with parts requests? The law overrides policy.

It appears to be a good thing for us consumers, however I don't believe it is LAW yet.

Guns don't have computers, at least not yet. Diagnostic codes & manuals is what spurred that legislation onwards, not parts.

A person could do to a local gun smith & have him order a part, for example. That would make Smith happy as far as liability goes, IMO.

Sad fact of life is, lawyers run almost all gun companies these days.

This reminds me when the first Shield was released. Those who loved 40 cal wanted to practice on the range with cheaper 9mm. So people started buying 9mm Shield barrels from S&W for their 40 Shields. Didn’t take them long to figure out what was going on, so they declared if you need a barrel for your gun, the gun must go back to S&W for the install, whether under warranty, or customer pay. This way, S&W wouldn’t put a 9mm barrel in a 40 Shield. In today’s sue happy world where Mickey Dee’s can be sued millions $ for serving coffee that is too hot, they didn’t want 9mm barrels installed in 40 Shield’s blowing up, & making someone a millionaire. This is how this all started. GARY

Anyone who thinks a pistol barrel is what is generating the emotional investment of this thread can't see the forest for the trees...

Sloppy on me to not notice a 5" .40, no wonder.
Twice the price from KKM if you really like the gun.

THIS.

Whenever I find a firearm I really like I buy more than one. Most of my Berettas are 92FS/M9’s and I have plenty of spare mags and spare parts. Same thing with my AR15’s. If one of them were to break, I have others and my hi-cap mags are grandfathered in.

Not wholly true.

Beretta USA got sued when a dazzling urbanite took his (?) pistol into a college dorm. While showing off to his homies, he dropped the mag & proceeded to pull the trigger. We can all surmise what happened after that.

This happened somewhere in the US NW, I don't recall where or when. This is why we now have billboards on the side of our semi's for the retarded gun buying public.

Tide Pod packages now have (in big letters) "DO NOT EAT" on them.

These examples on why gun owners should NEVER shirk jury duty. You just never know when you might be able to interject common !@#$%^& sense into a lawsuit, IMO.

My .o2

I don't know what to tell you, man. When things go out of production, parts can get pretty scarce pretty fast. No company wants to tie up a lot of its money in spare parts that might take years to sell or otherwise use when they have bills to pay today.
Your situation is nothing new.

I just bought new DLC barrels that will work in any Gen 3 - style GLOCK G19 &G17 for under $60 each... Figure I'm good for the (my?) foreseeable future?

Bought one of those FDE 5" M&P 2.0 slides quite a while ago: since I already had the 40 to 9mm 5" conversion barrel, once my machinist friend cut the notch for the 1.0 slide release I was good to go!

Just takes a little planning, folks.

Cheers!

P.S. Comments about buying police trade-ins at rock-bottom prices are RIGHT ON, brothers & sisters!
