Default M&P 10 buffer tube
I've got one of the M&P 10's on order and am rounding up some Magpul items, what is the buffer size, mil-spec or commercial?? Thanks.

I myself just got one. I got:
1. mid length handguard
2. MOE Plus grip
3. ACS stock in Mil-Spec

Now here's the issues with this setup:
1. Handguard heat shield needs alteration. you have to widen it to fit around the barrel or it will scratch it.

2. MOE Plus grip does not work, as the takedown detent spring will sit directly over the rubber part of the MOE Plus grip.

3. My ACS-L stock would not lock down completely/tightly on the buffer tube.

Solutions:
1. Kept the foregrip and it's awesome, very tight.

2. Sent grip back and Purchased MIAD grip and MIAD grip wedge. MIAD works better, have not received wedge to ensure the spring location is perfect. right now without wedge installed the spring looks like it has a small chance to slip out.

3. Sent the stock back and have not replaced yet. I need help on this one myself.

I called S&W today to ask another issue(compliant differences) and they informed me it was a milspec buffer tube.

update on MIAD and wedge: so, it turns out that the wedge is not an easy fit for the MIAD plus the lower receiver size on these rifles. I had to do some cutting out/remodeling to get it to fit. The space between the beavertail and the receiver is much thinner than the wedge was made for, in addition to the metal rib that the grip is screwed into is longer at its base and you have to cut out that section of the wedge so it will fit on easily.

I just installed the Magpul STR (Mil-Spec) stock on mine / had no problems installing it at all. It fits perfect, locks into place really tight, and I like the comb better to rest your cheek on for shooting - from the storage the stock has on it.

I will be posting picks of the gun in the next few days on my thread if you'd like to see it.

I threw a LMT SOPMOD stock on mine, and it fits fine. Doesnt collapse as far as it does on my SR15 tho, as the slots aren't as close to the receiver. Not sure if i'm goin to leave it on, or get a PRS stock, or what...

i put a moe + grip on mine W/o problem but there is a little gap on the back not as much as with the miad, though.

the spring went in and stayed there... just got to make sure it is seated correctly when tighting it up
