Looking to upgrade the trigger to a Geissele, which I understand means temporarily removing the bolt catch.

Does just the right side need to be removed? It looks like it's impossible to drive the roll pin on the right side out from the front.
The left side bolt catch pin looks much more accessible, but it doesn't look like removing that will help.
I understand to put masking tape on the receiver and to use a 3/32 roll-pin punch.
Any tips from those who have accomplished the task would be appreciated,
Thanks

I drove the right side roll pin out from the rear to the front. The bolt catch linkage is very simple - there should be no issues there. Once you have switched out the trigger group - install the bolt catch roll pin from the rear to the front (after installing the bolt catch parts).

The whole operation went very smoothly for me. Hope is does for you too.

cheers

As you both noted, everything was easy. The only extra tool I utilized was a roll pin holder punch to start the pin back in on the ambi-release. Might not be necessary for most, but made it easier for me.
Thanks,

I took mine out using the same proceedure as described above. I was supprised to find the pin was hollow. That sucker was in there tight. I had to hit it way harder than I felt comfortable with. Tapping it with a plastic hammer got nowhere. I had to give it a couple good taps with a ball pean hammer. I was cringing the whole time I has hitting it. But, in the end, it popped out and I went ahead with installing the Geissele triger with no other issues. It was also tight to get back in.
