The front sight allows for very small elevation adjustments as well. Push down the pin and rotate the sight. A FMJ bullet works for this adjustment.

This rear sight is the exact same sight they have always put on the M&P15-22. Adjusts the same as the sight in a Carry handle.
 
I mounted a 2x7 scope right on the removable carry handle with a carry handle mount and it is working out great for me, I can use the scope or look through the mount and use the iron sight.
 
Does anyone know if the Perp Mount and the UTG mount can be used for a left handed shooter??

I put the Vortex 1x8 Strike Eagle on mine with there mount, and it works great for me at 1x it works like a red dot with the option to dial it up to 8x.
