Just wondering if anyone has experience using the Raddlock bullet button and what they think of it. Just ordered one from National Gun Supply.

I don't have any experience with it. I assume you live in California. I just wanted to express my condolences for the ridiculous CA firearms restrictions. I'm an Illinois resident, so I can sympathize.

^ That just blows my mind. I have no idea how a bullet button on an AR makes it any more safe & less lethal.

im assuming the lawmakers dont want anyone pulling a multi-mag mad minute on someone.... to me... just another redundant safety product....

So basically it turns a non-cal compliant rifle into a cal compliant rifle. It says at the bottom that it has not been approved by the CA-DOJ but unless you get a real stickler of a leo it should pass. all in all it does turn your standard rifle into a bullet button rifle. I would contact S&W and find out what they would charge for the cal- compliant bullet button, installation would not be difficult. I didnt see a price listed so you would have to compare or find someone who bought a CA compliant rifle and trade them magazine releases. Good Luck!!

I live in california and so it came with the bullet button. Down the road I plan to get a 22. upper, and with that I don't need the bullet button. Also if I go out of state I can use the mag release like any other AR. So I'm trying to find out if anyone uses the Raddlock and if there are any tricks to it? I know its not DOJ approved, but if they will send it to me(they won't send a normal mag release to california) then I'm going to try it. And you mentioned "leo" what does that mean.

Wouldn't be surprised if AR's became banned altogether here in california soon. I agree it's ridiculous and the bullet button is the worst. For target practice it's fine, but imagine having to protect yourself with it. Instead of just pressing a button to pop out the mag, you have to take one hand off the gun take a bullet or something similar out of your pocket and use it to operate the mag release. The Raddlock should solve this.

leo..Law Enforcement Officer

I see your point and for your uses that would work, when you go out of state just turn the button 3 turns and you have a regular mag release. Makes perfect sense!!
