It keeps any and all oils off the cases. It is a perfect dry lube on your ammo. It keeps your hands from getting sweaty and sticky on the ammo.
If you have a magazien that hangs up, regardless of ammo, try the baby powder. I bet the problem clears up.
(For the technologically overachiever types, dry teflon lube spray does the same thing, though it does not do quite as good a job with regards to sweating hands.)
Ha! The things you learn loading 2,000 stripper clips a year by hand!!!

I'll have to try that! It's nice running the cheap steel cases through my slidefire because, well let's face it, with that the cheaper the ammo the better. Thank you

Ok guys (and gals if any are among us) i have a question. Being that I have quite a few ( ok very lot) of different mags, lots of wndows pmags, lancer, 20 rounder therms, and plenty USGI i am thinking of selling off some mags. Probably the pmags. What would you sell them for at this point. I dont want to gouge but then again if people were silly enough to wait to the last min. thats an issue. probably gonna get rid of 10 or maybe 5 windowed and 5 therms. Any ideas on asking price?

Well, they have been bringing $50 a piece on gunbroker for the last couple of weeks, thats for new in wrap Pmags, so if they are used or you don't want to be a"price gouger" then sell them for less, too cheap and somebody might flip them so might as well try to get at least $40 a piece.

Therms for $15-20, Pmags $25-30 without windows, $35 with windows.
While some are selling for sky-high prices, most are not moving nearly as quickly when sold in the $40 range.
At 25-35, they will move like stink on the wind, and give a profit.

Paying $20-$25 for a 30rd Pmag is like paying $1500 for a bone stock AR........Who in their right mind would pay double for something like that?
If people continue to pay double prices, companies will continue to offer those items for double the prices. If people stop buying them for those prices, companies will simply stop selling them for those prices.........This goes for individual sellers as well. My 2 cents

I understand Rojo point of view as well as Smitty. Thing is I'm not gonna gouge the price as I'm just as well to pass them out around post and range. On the other hand people are paying crazy prices but if what we fear Smitty comes true and they stop making with a ban and grandfather what you got now then just justifies paying a little more I've seen them going for 4x the cost so double Smitty isn't being greedy. Must of them are windows PMAGs and more than half still in pack as well as the usgi ones. I use the PMAGs and lancers most and got a good deal on the tango but never used them. Maybe ill just hold on a lil bit and maybe later just trade them for some optics for one of the ar's or S12. Thanks for the input guys and again never trying to be like the companies that gouge

I think it'd be best just to hold on to them for now. Barring circumstances unbeknownst to us, the worst they're doing is taking up space. I'd say wait if you don't need the money now because if all settles back down you can sell them at a very reasonable price, and if a ban does somehow go into effect, they'd be more valuable as bartering tools as you suggested.

I so agree with Dikinalaska....I was digging through my Parts drawers and came across a bunch of thermold 20's that I just put away for a rainy day. They arent hurting anything and if it comes down to it, a few more rounds till my fingers get grey and cold.

GET THEM BEFORE THEY GO ALL I CAN SAY
My 20 rd thermold mags came in today. So I decided to load one up to take to the range tomorrow and it will only take 19 rounds. Number 20 just won't fit and I don't want to force it risking breaking a new mag. I don't know if the other 2 are any better didn't plan on shooting a lot of 556 tomorrow. Any thoughts?
