Default Was a pistol type of guy....

And then I bought a M&P 15-22 on a whim, and it was/is a heckuva lotta fun to shoot. Today my LGS had a NIB M&P 15 Sport for the outstanding price of $680, and I sure wasn't letting that sit there! It went right home with me!

Any pointers/info I need to know right off the bat about the weapon? Going to strip and clean it tonight, and I'm lucky enough to live out in the middle of nowhere, so we have a range here at home, will shoot it tomorrow night...

you will already be familiar with the controls from your 15-22, you will just get better range and accuracy now with a bit more kick and noise. and milk jugs explode better. black guns are an easy addiction, tread carefully friend!

Just wondered did you get the 1:9 barrel or the 1:8? Both are excellent rifles. Congrats on your score!!!
