HI all. New here. I am not very familiar with AR15 rifles (I am a muzzle loader at heart), and I have been doing some reading about them. I have read that there are different gas tube lengths, carbine, mid length, and full length. I have not been able to find anything in the specs concerning this for the Sport II. Does this rifle use a different system? if not what length is used in this rifle. I am looking at different makes and trying to decide on which to get, and am just curious about this on this model.

The Sport has a carbine length gas system.

Welcome to the forum and the rabbit hole that is the AR15.

The sport II only comes in one length...carbine. If you are seeing other m&p rifles with a different length, it's likely one of their other AR-15 lines.

Thank you for the replies. I had not seen any other lengths for the MP Sport in my reading, but did for other makes. I have been doing comparisons and noticed that the sport did not mention it, that raised my question. As I stated, I am just starting the learning curve, and this has just advance the curve for me..... I still have oh so far to go lol. Thanks.
