picked up a Sparc AR red dot from Vortex through their LE program, got a substantial discount! received the red dot Saturday, got to the range to zero it, as I was getting resdy to fire a few more rounds I noticed something inside the optic, it surely wasn't there when I began zeroing. it did not affect the reticle itself, but it appears the tube inside is now not true inside the optic, I reached out to the salesman that helped me with the program, but I haven't heard back, I'm not concerned as I know they stand behind their products, just curious is anyone else has seen this.

Contact Vortex or look on their website.
They will give you instructions to ship it back for a replacement..
Don't worry about them not standing behind their products ..
All their products have a lifetime warranty regardless the issue, they will send you a new one quickly...
Got my replacement Strikefire 2 in less than a week when I sent it in due to a crack in the sight...

Not sure what we are looking at there either. Sort of looks like the thing is disassembling itself.

Update us here when you know?

No reason to believe Vortex won't do right by you. They seem to have a great reputation for taking care of their customers.

I removed it from the rifle and got to look in there with a flash light, it's where the red dot is projected from, I did a google search and see that blob on other Vortex Sparc red dots, I just don't remember seeing it there when I started zeroing today

Interesting. So that close up pic is just the emitter? Looking at it from the view in your pics, it is odd looking.

even though we have come to the conclusion that it's the emitter and normal, I just got off the phone with Jimmy at Vortex and he confirmed it lol such a newb with red dots

Emitter LOL. Go shoot it more...

That looks huge. I'm not sure I could ignore that. Do you notice it every time you look through the scope?

If you are closing one eye and looking through the optic as if it were a scope, then you might notice it.

However, if you use the red dot correctly and shoot with both eyes open, focusing on the target down range, you will not notice it at all.

So, how do you like your SPARC AR? I am about to shell out the $ for one and wonder if you can offer a review. Would love to hear how Vortex was in answering your questions as well.

I know it is the location of the emitter, and am actually more curious what you thought of their service end.

I love the Sparc AR!!! I have pretty severe astigmatism and have no issues cleanly picking up the dot, it's a smaller dot which I wanted, I really like the small footprint as well. I dealt with Jimmy Jordan and he was great! I didn't notice the emmiter while shooting at all, I noticed it as I was looking at and admiring the sight, I called Vortex up and spoke to Jimmy and he kind of chuckled after I told him a few forum members explained it was the emmiter, their customer service was second to none through my entire process of setting up the LE program, ordering, and shipping the sight, I ordered it on a Thursday and got it the Saturday after! they are on Wisconsin, I'm in Pennsylvania, so that's fast shipment imo, was impressed they shipped it rush on a Saturday none the less

Great to hear of good reports. Have one in a box, for my wife's AR-15 that's still being built.

Better stop using that Galaxy 7 or it may catch on fire......

Thanks for the report. I'm pretty much sold. The service and warranty are where its at IMHO. I'm really surprised that for the money, the big guys don't offer more of a warranty. Oh well, just that much closer to "pulling the trigger" on this one!

You can get a Sparc AR NIB from Jet for $165.75 shipped. It will ship from Primary Arms.

Jet.com - Prices Drop As You Shop

You just need to be a first time customer and use the promo code "triple15" which will get you 15% off, up to $30 on your first 3 orders from Jet.

Some stuff on Jet ships directly from them but a lot of the stuff comes from 3rd party vendors like Primary Arms.
