Oneyeopn: Good looking pair of irons you have there!
I expect a full report on that Ultradot after you give it a run through it's paces. For that matter, I wouldn't mind hearing how the Sport treats you too.

JHHC: as soon as we get the weather to warm up at least into the 50's I will spend an afternoon at our private range, with targets up, my shooting table and chair set up, either the Lead Sled or the NXT shooting rest and a spotting scope. I really like the way the Ultradot reticle looks going through the sites and I put 5 rounds down range yesterday at about 150 yards and was banging on the gong after the first shot. but I will give a complete range report with pics.

Where did you buy the tube and the stock?
I'm in the same scenario in MA and looking for the replacement as the tube too long

I like it a lot. I'm comfortable with it and like how it feels. Been playing with its location on the rail and I prefer it close to the magazine well even though everyone who shoots has told me to push it to the end. I might do what I prefer though.
My buddy, who is a marine, hates the thing.

Yeah I'm still kicking the idea around. If I see someone on the range with one I'm gonna ask them if I could check it out. The VFG just doesn't cut it for me. Maybe just old dog new trick thing.

My turn. This began life as a stock M&P15A. It is a work in progress
To date I have added:
Troy Battle Axe stock
Troy MRF-CX 12 Battle Rail
Troy Battery Assist Lever
Aimpoint PRO
Hogue AR Pistol
Magpul MOE Trigger Guard
VTAC sling
Sorry for the ****** cellphone picture.
I still need some Troy rail panels, a Troy modular vertical grip, and Stream light TLR1s light.

I'm pretty sure it's 8lbs 3oz.
Not too bad, but I need to get a new sling for when I do carry it for long periods of time.

Does the investment ever end with these? Never. And that's great.
Anything different/additional I should do to my 15OR? Currently considering a switch-over to all Magpul. What do you think?

Revision # (I lost count)
I took off the 4-16x40 scope and put on a 3-9x32WA scope. I really didnt have enough gun for the big scope although it works nice it made it a little heavy. dropped over 1 lb in weight. I have run this scope on my 17hmr and it works very well plus has brighter optics and no battery. DSCF3750a.jpgDSCF3743a.jpg

Turbo2...thats a 8-32x42 Horizon Buckridge. I shoot over 200 yards mostly. I am changing for a larger field of view plus I dont normally take it to 32 power normally run 16 to about 24-26. So the new scope will allow me a larger FOV plus it will cover my magnification range.

Centurion, I really like that butt stock. Am seriously thinking I might have to get one. After I replace my upper with the Marine Corps emblems on the new one. Just so happens to come with a FA and dustcover....Dont want anyone to think I believe they are a necessity. this upper was a contract overrun and I got it cheap, really cheap!!
