Waiting to pick up mine on saturday!!!
Bought a cheap foregrip and a red dot on Amazon and a couple of gen4 magpuls.

Bought my sons a pair of Sport II's a couple of years ago for Christmas...
Picked myself up one a couple of weeks ago (to go along with the BCM, Colt and Ruger AR's in the safe)...

I was looking around online for an M&P15 Sport II to replace the one I had a few years back and sold, but found this M&P15 811000 new in box and grabbed it instead.

Yeah, me too. I have a Sons of Liberty Gun Works flat top that I got for free, along with the now discontinued S&W AR braced pistol that I can put optics on if I want, and wanted an M4 look rifle. I like the carry handle and A2 front sight look.

What kind of bayonet is that in your pic? I was thinking about getting one and an extender for this new rifle for ***** n' grins. Looked for some at a gun show this weekend but most were vintage Colt ones that they had priced VERY high.

It's a Smith & Wesson SW3B M9 Bayonett, I bought it directly off their website a few years ago during a sale.
The only problem is that it doesn't actually fit my M&P15X because it's a Carbine Length Gas System with a 16" Barrel, so I'd have to buy either a bayonet lug extender or a barrel sleave to get it to fit properly without rattling around.

Happy Memorial Day to you too! Yeah, I looked at bayonets online and saw the need for an adapter for my rifle to get it to fit right. I just need to find the best one. I looked online at the S&W one you have. Found on on Amazon at a decent price. Looks like a good knife.

Good purchase, I've had one of those since 2008 and it's been exemplary in every way.
BTW, it's my understanding that the rifles with serial numbers below 50,000 were made for S&W by Stag.
