kinda useless, but snapped a quick pic of my gun after shooting another 200rds for a total of about 1500rds through the gun in about 90 days since buying it NIB for $279...no battering as reported in an earlier gun, only a few light streaks indicating contact on any part....could have posted the giant fuzzy version which truly would have been of more use, but which also would have required scanning both cardinal directions for a rotten pic, but will say they apparently converted yours to exactly the same latest version which i would say is a good thing to date...

I have had to delete this entire post as stupid me was fooled my my own picture's optical illusion....went back to cleaning the gun and said "duh, the barrel has a straight cut where the guide rod rests", which is NOT what i said in this original post.....truth in idiocy, that's my motto

Thanks for the big picture. Looks like S&W modified my barrel to the new Sigma specs. I like my old Sigma with new Sigma parts.

Just wanted to give you all an update on my Sigma. Sigma has been great, I did have a failure of the slide to lock back, I believe it was with my old magazine. Other than that one failure, all is well in Sigma land.

Smith always does you right. I sent mine back several years ago because the trigger was very gritty even after a solid cleaning. I got mine back in under 2 weeks.
