From two former lives: Twenty years a sign-painter, and my favorite alphabet was a fast one, "Flash". Then, the next ten years as a professional photographer, weddings mostly, and I used a photoflash unit that could wilt gardenias from ten feet.
So it fit, but the numbers are from my e-mail addy.

At some family gathering several years ago, my daughter declared that I had moved from being an old fart to an old geeser...a few days later I came home to find her daughter and an air brush guy just finishing painting " geeser glide" on the rear fender of my UltraClassic H-D....

Fun thread!
I used to work in computer warranty and my handle is my old technician queue name + warranty center #. We all referred to each other by queue name instead of real name.

OK,it's confession time. I post here under my real name and will do so if I ever join another forum. However,I have been on other forums for quite some time under the moniker of DocH.
Throughout the first 20 years of my police career I actually supplemented my income with poker skills. I was not a card shark, and of course did not do any cheating, but simply had the knowledge of the game, and the ability to read people well.
I played with some very wealthy men,and did so out of town. They are the ones who nicknamed me "Doc",referencing
Doc Holliday,of course.
I actually folded my hand on several occasions to avoid being the big winner,in order to avoid the possibility of people eventually not wanting to play with me.
I no longer do that, and I was associated with very decent people in the games, and there was never any danger of a fight or gunfight ,or anything even remotely resembling one.
Of course, all my winnings were well spent providing for my family(I had seven children, and I'm not even Catholic)
and enjoying life. I am now content to be retired and stay home most of the time, spend quality time with my wife, and shoot guns out on the back of the property.

Vector is rifle manuf'r I think its Russian/german not to sure, 16 is the ga of shotgun that they were able to piece together with some other kind of gun at the begining of WWII. My grandfather bought the gun of a 12 year old for $2 when the took Berlin with the U.S. Army, Armor battalion. I got it when he passed on.
Its a great gun and its solid vs. some of the cracked pot stuff they have now. I'm not sure if its considered an antique. but I dare you to find another one that still works, or maybe just another one. If you do let me know how much, its a SBS.

Dad loved Tuesday Weld and "Doby Gillis" when he was growing up. When l came along he said "Zelda" was the first name he thought of.
Now Tuesday's character was "Thalia". Go figure ???

I play too! I started when I was 9 years old so I've been playing for 31 years now. It's more than a hobby, it's part of who and what I am now. I'm sure you can understand that one.

I dig old WW2 stuff as well. My dad didn't fight over there but he was occupation forces reight after. As a kid I used to love to hear stories about it. I'd like to visit Germany some day, I'm half German and have some roots over there.
My thanks to your father for his service.

Well howdy there 'tar slinger.
I started at ten when I got an acoustic guitar for Xmas (I wanted one and I loved The Ventures). I also got a Play Along With The Ventures album with it. Best Xmas I had.
I'm 61 now and haven't played much anymore but I love guitars. I work on 'em more than I play 'em.

Well when I was filing the image of Bull (my avatar) sleeping I made a typo and included the T to slepebull. The name stuck and I have been using it ever since.
BTY gscrasher, I ride a GS also; fortunately with less personal discomfort so far. My Sigma was in the tank bag.

My dad was called grandpa Johnny by his grand kids. When a couple of my sisters started calling him that as well, he told me that he didn't like it. At his 90th birthday party I made an announcement that since he had reached 90 he should be called by the name he preferred, grandpa John.
When I sat down he called me a knuckle head. Maybe that should have been my user name. He passed before I joined the forum so I decided to use his last nickname.
