Try moving the slide forward a bit and pull the trigger back, it may release.

It may be held in place by the striker. One solution might be to take the end plate off the slide and remove the striker...

I think you should consider selling both guns.

Make sure the weapon is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction.

If you have a long, narrow, thin piece of shim stock, try inserting it from the rear and depressing the striker. A strong LED light will help greatly.

Oops. I think this is a lesson we all have to follow. Check, double check & check once more before doing anything with a firearm. Concentrate on what you're doing & don't let your attention be diverted while doing it.

I have a hard & set rule - work on one firearm at a time. Once the first one is completely reassembled & function checked THEN work on the other.

I hope you get that slide off & installed on the right pistol.

Let us know what you did to correct the situation.

My mom always told me "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". She will be so proud of me! :-)

I was going to say something like, "you are an idiot" but then I read this post and decided to say nothing at all.

I still think he should sell all his guns but that's not likely to happen.

It would be nice to get a final report, however.

Looks like another of those one-time posts that everyone tries to help but the OP disappears. Hate when that happens.
