Good day to you all...
Can anyone guide me to a parts list for my SD40 VE, bought brand new this year? Can't seem to find it online... I want to make sure that I have recourse to all parts to be replaced if and when I need them... Thanks, everyone.

he says he wants the parts list in case he ever needs to buy a part in the future in case it breaks.... I'd be my guess that the warranty would cover any normal breakage/wear not caused by abuse....if you bought it new as you said. The more knowledgeable will chime in soon though.

I understand what he wants and why. My question is on the word, "recourse". Yes, S&W will take care of all problems unless the pistol has been abused or non factory parts have been installed.

The after market parts for the SDve is slow I think because of the lifetime warranty

Good day to you.

Smith and Wesson may be the only recourse for the vast majority of your needs.

But, with some hunting around. You can find all the major parts on ebay, and a few other websites that sell parts for SWVE.
(Some SWVE parts interchange)

Google up Sigma Parts and you'll hit a few sites. Sigma
components that I've used are: trigger bar and spring, slide stop and barrel locking block.

My spare parts list are: Sear block assembly w/ Sear (ebay)
trigger bar, slide stop, barrel locking block (Sigma) Magazines (Sigma, $5 each. I got lucky) Mag release (Sigma)

Aftermarket parts: Galloway guide rod and trigger spring kit w/ reduced weight sear spring. Finally and Apex Trigger.

Everything works perfect and I have nearly every spare component I need.

I hope this helps my friend! Happy hunting!!

RECOURSE-Synonyms: option, possibility, alternative, resort, way out, hope, remedy, choice.

An example to this, is that the original spring assembly is plastic in the new gun, and I would like to replace it with the stainless steel part, hopefully native to S&W... instead of buying it at Amazon...Thanks for the reply.

S&W does not make one. Hence the one that's in the SD being made of polymer. It's polymer for a reason. But feel free to replace it with a SS one. Then let us know when the guide rod port starts to wear in the shape of an egg.

SD9VE & SD40VE Parts

Check out Galloway Precision online they are a very good after market company for these guns. And sites like Ebay and Amazon as well. I have the 17lb stainless steel guide rod in my SD9VE and have shot the gun thousands of times literally and it still functions like its new with no wear on the slide at all. I just put the 20lb spring guide rod in my SD40VE and have only got to test it out with 200 rnds and it performed flawlessly as well. My polymer guide rod on my SD9VE only lasted in my gun for about 400 rnds for some reason, oh maybe because its a cheaply made part because I know there are some polymer rods that are of a much better quality polymer than the factory SD9/SD40 ones. And thats what made me replace it. If they came with a quality guide like a steel one S&W would have to raise the price of the gun hence it no longer would be VE / Value Enhanced lol!!
