Default SD40 Original Extended Clip needed?

I have a SD40 original, not the VE version. And im looking for an extended clip for it. The only one I know of is the Promag 25rnd clip. I have searched the web for Hours, attended several gun & knife shows here in SC and for the LIFE of me I cant locate one. And its just so i can have one while at the range by the way. If anyone can suggest some sites that you know of id be much obliged.

Look to midway for 16 rd magazines. Never seen a 30 rounder.

For future reference :
So… in the interest of correct gun terminology:
Clip:
A device that is used to store multiple rounds of ammunition together as a unit, ready for insertion into the magazine or cylinder of a firearm.
Magazine:
A container that feeds ammunition into a gun’s chamber. Magazines can either be fixed to a gun’s frame, or detachable.

I actually checked that website, couldnt find a clip for my model. Or anything for my model. Its almost as if my model is obsolete or something. Any further suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

S&W only made magazines for these pistols, not clips. And in 9mm, the capacities were 10 rounds and 16. In .40, the capacities were 10 and 14.

Maybe, Gunclip Depot has what you're looking for?

Mecgar, I believe is name, where I saw some x-tended mags for pistols also, but don't remember if they have any for the SD9 model.

Just checked Mec Gar's site. Only have 9mm mags for 5900 series.

It is obsolete. However, SW/SD magazines interchange within caliber, so any SW or SD .40 magazine can be made to work. Some of the baseplates are thicker than others, but baseplates will interchange, and can be sanded for clearance to match a specific gun, if necessary.

FYI, MecGar is the OEM S&W magazine manufacturer, and they only sell them through S&W distribution, labeled S&W. AFAIK, there are no other brand reliable magazines available for your gun.

I have the 2 that came with my gun & 1 Sigma that I found at the gun shop , it works fine. So you should just get some 12 round mags & while you are shooting you can train on tactical mag changing. I do , I just put my range bag where the mag will drop & unload all 3 the fun way , for my SD9ve that is real close to a box of bullets

So it is obsolete dang it, that explains it! So any S&W within the 40caliber should be compatible? What about a Promag SW M&P 40 magazine?

I don't know how much more a S&W mag is than a Promag but I would pay it , I have a pro mag for another gun that I could not find a factory mag for & it has a FTF every time I use it.

The only mags that will fit are those made for S&W SD40, S&W SW40, S&W SD40VE.
S&W M&P mags will not fit. Check Gunbroker.com for mags.
