I recently bought a Smith and Wesson sd9ve and am curious what companies website I could go to in order to purchase custom aftermarket parts such as slides and barrels and whatnot.

The SD does not have the plethora of aftermarket parts that the M&Ps do, and some of the SD parts are "factory installed only" which includes little parts like small springs which you can't buy anywhere.
If you want to play mix 'n match, I'd start with an M&P.

If you try to do a dual caliber setup with an SD, for example, the first thing you will find is that the magazines are different widths and do not interchange between calibers.

You can get apex kits or M&P sights, but there isn't much else.
If ya wanna play mixie matchie, then ya best buy a glock.

Upgrades consist of:

  • Apex Spring Kit and Trigger
  • Steel recoil spring assembly (read the thread on this before doing it!)
  • Improved (wider) takedown plate from Galloway or NDZ
  • A wide array of sights (i.e., sights that fit the M&P also fit the SD-series)
  • Talon grip panels
  • Two slides available -- black or silver-colored stainless steel

Am I missing anything?

I don't think there is a threaded barrel or a custom barrel for the SD, such as those made by Lone Wolf, Storm Lake, Apex, etc., for M&Ps.

As noted by others in this thread, aftermarket parts for the SD-series are few, compared to Glocks and M&Ps!

Also......Polish feed ramp and internals as desired,

You can also get from Amazon, DNZ and I believe another company, but can't think of name, the slide's rear plate that's lazer etched with many different sayings, logos, animals, and custom words for less than $20.

It's also made of alloy metal instead of factory plastic, too.

You can also do the M&P TruGlo optic sights or go with the trinimum for a glow in dark sight.
