SD40VE And Sight Upgrades

Anyone know "what gives" with many sights claiming "Fits S&W SD (excluding VE models)" ??? I see like a 50/50 spread of "they fit" on different forums / Amazon. So what's definitive with upgraded sights for my SD40VE? Are the slots REALLY different with the VE versus plain SD and M&P ???

I have TruGlo TFX Pro on all my other pistols, like to keep things "uniform" ... if you know what I mean.

I've never seen any state they dont fit the VE. If they fit an M&P, they should fit the SDVE.

I have the same question. Did you figure it out and get the TFX Pro for M&P to work for you?

I just installed the HiViz LiteWave front sight on my SW40E. The original Trijis are about 22 years old and about dead. I bought the Glock front sight and had to shave a bit off the tenon to fit the slide hole. It's a tad lower, which is good, since it shot low anyway. We'll see.

I have seen that same statement myself and also wondered. I don't see any difference. Maybe someone at the company that writes the description doesn't know what guns they are talking about. Maybe the have confused the VE models with the older SW and Sigma models that has the tenon/screw on front site instead of dovetail?

Pretty sure if your SD has the dovetail front sight, it is the same as all of the SD and M&P line.
